Experts throw light on Blue Whale menace

Navi Mumbai: On the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day on Sunday, the department of psychiatry in D Y Patil Medical College and the Navi Mumbai Raigad Psychiatry Association organised a programme on the recent social peril—Blue Whale game
At the event titled ‘Challenging the Suicide Whale’, Dr Rakesh Ghildiyal, president of Navi Mumbai Raigad Psychiatry Association, spoke about awareness being the need of the hour. Psychiatrist Dr Harish Shetty said there was a need to prevent suicides, learn about depression and its symptoms. He also spoke about the importance of healthy parenting.
The seminar also included a panel discussion where clinical psychologist Gauri Raut shared her experiences of working with a mental health helpline.
